TABS Is Tired

Tabs is tired of talking himself blue in the face. Pearls before swine and all that rot. Lubby, Moses, Nostatus and the rest of U all...why don't you all just go listen to Dr Wayne Dwyer for awhile...maybe you all can learn something from him?

Come back when you really know something.

PatrickB 03-04-2008 12:06 AM

Amen!
:D

Chocaholic 03-04-2008 04:20 AM

You mentioned something in another thread about pulling your thumb out of your a$$. When will that joyous moment occur? Surely a transformation out of your own 4 walls will occur and a rapture will be felt across cyberspace.

onewhippedpuppy 03-04-2008 05:17 AM

When it happens...............you'll know.

Joeaksa 03-04-2008 05:37 AM

Just let Tabs sit back and recharge for a while. He will get spooled back up shortly! :)

Moses 03-04-2008 06:46 AM

Tabs has trouble with the idea that a man can achieve self actualization and happiness without rigorous introspection.

I don't think "thumb" will make that much difference. Now HEAD, that might make a difference. I wouldn't bet on it though.

livi 03-04-2008 07:09 AM

IŽll take dr. Dwyer and raise you one dr. Phil.

Mule 03-04-2008 07:11 AM

I can't believe I recognize that dialog. Spies Like Us; from a bunch of real doctors to Chevy Chase to Dan Akroyd until they run out of doctors and Bob Hope ducks under the tent wall and plays threw. Kind of awful movie, actually, but it had some funny lines.

M.D. Holloway 03-04-2008 08:02 AM

Tabs - they have pils for how you feel...

Sapporo Guy 03-04-2008 08:46 AM

I thought "tabs" were pills ?????

Seriously, take it easy and think about the few of us who realyy do appreciate you more educatinal threads :)

Yeah. Here is a funny Swedish doc who, pretty much, knows every line in every movie with Chevy Chase. I must have seen Caddy Shack at least 30 times (twenty years ago, you understand).

Sorry for hijacking your sublime thread, tabs!

TABS runs the cycle - not unlike the weather. Just as unpredicatable sometimes but essential nontheless.

tabs 03-04-2008 10:34 AM

I am still waiting for Nostatuss' response.

pwd72s 03-04-2008 10:40 AM

Wow, this is a serious observation. This bears some rigorous introspection.

Not my thing, but thanks. :)

U are such a paradox...U have done the ground work of dealing with your feelings day by day, hour by hour and minute by minute. Yet you jhust havn't flipped the swithch and turned the lights on to see the house you have built over the years...

Funny I spend more time assessing the person making the statment than I do myself.

gatotom 03-04-2008 11:17 AM

I guess its time to pull out the big guns to solve this matter.

That's the last thing I want to do. Seriously.

Yeah and the world is flat and if you sail off the edge U don't fall off, you just start to sail on the underside.

tabs 03-04-2008 11:49 AM

Monsters don't just hide in the dark, under the bed or in the closet, they tend to show themselves in different ways in the light of day.

M.D. Holloway 03-04-2008 11:56 AM

Christallmighty TABS! Seriously, you got more friends here than I have pills in my desk drawer (and trust me that’s a lot!) and YOU don't see it.

You’re a rock star here and in a moments notice would have 100 strong, smart men at your side willing to fight any battle for you.

Pissing on your friends shoes once is worthy of a laugh, twice you might get it back on your pant leg but three times will make a guy say "enough dude, get some control over that thing!"

Seriously, they have pills for incontinence as well as verbal dysentery.

Come on Nostatus shirley you see the joke in this Thread....

Nostatus is wary of me, he sees the abstractions but always sits back in amazment. Maybe he just doesn't trust his own perceptions...and is unwilling to venture forth.

There are boyz on this Board who are so quick it is frightening...but Nostaus is the quickest of them all...you have to be an early bird to get past him.

no point in direction
it's coming no matter what
say goodnight sweet prince
your fight was gallant
your methods flawed
your heart tragic
don't be afraid to cry
before you know it will pass
everyone will remember you
until they drop the rose and walk past

mercy is trying to visit
but the barricades are strong
dreams made of heat in your heart
waiting for darkness to come
and steel quickly
wishing for arms to hold
passing it off as fancy
but desperate
for tenderness
and mercy

you had a good run
and thought that living was
running to keep up
and keep tabs

may grace be with you
because mercy is scarce
but i fear you'll feel neither
you were taught to win
but never learned to fail
pick it up on the fly
or during the fall
find a way home

mercy dear mary
slaughtered before waking
closing doors and bolting ways
swinging remains reminding
of lives that spun out
pirouette and pratfall
packing boxes
cleaned out after you're gone

living in seven time
but it's an eightfold world
you tap your feet
but mercy doesn't feel the beat
the end of the sky
shivering hues and streaks
you loved the texture
until you could really feel it
now it's too much
mercy come
the mourners are singing
mercy save
your broken soul
mercy love
your analog pulse
before it is quiet

dragged by your feet
to do it again
until it's really wrong
you're on your knees
mercy wheels
turning again

Umberto. Mr. Eco. No wait, Dr. Eco. Yeah, his mom always liked it when she heard that. Too bad she wasn't around for this round. Or maybe it wasn't bad. After all, to every season, turn and burn. Umberto paused and looked for something to mop his glistening brow. It didn't used to be like this. The weather or his head. But these aren't like old times. They're barely midevil times.

"Dr. Eco, please allow me to introduce myself. I am Sally Gredenko. But my friend's call me Giselle. Well, when they're stuffing dollar bills down my pants."

"Ms. Gredenko, I'll ask you again to stop with the risque entendres and delightful recusement. I need a pen. Do you happen to have one stuffed down your pants?"

Umberto was feeling at once emboldened and languid. It was more than he could bear, given his delicate state of affairs. As if that were the only issue at play. No, this was about something much more visceral. Like a gut-shot fawn, he fell backwards and stared at the ceiling, gurgling imperceptibly and huffing like a made man.

Wahoo! I've been doing it for years. The blood rushes to my head sometimes, but I'm still having fun down here.

Lubby I do see it... I guess whats so endearing about me is that I pi$$ into the wind and it all blows right back on me. Mother always said I should have enough sense to piss down wind, but then I told her, "Then I would have to smell my own farts. She acknowledged that I had a point there. At that moment I felt that I had just won a great victory.

cgarr 03-04-2008 03:01 PM

I'm still trying to picture a "flat globe"
