Goes to show you. NEVER kick Hillary when she's down. After all, she might get up...

Imo, there is no way Obama would put Hillary on the His ticket. -Political Suicide.

I think political suicide would then be the least of his worries.;)

Yeah whatever.... we will see how many republicans turn out for the general election if it is against Hillary. If you think not many....you will be very wrong I assure you ;)

She would have some challenges in the general election.

I think she would motivate record numbers of Republicans to come out and vote against her.

And she will lose a lot of Democratic voters who will feel disenfranchised if she wins. Because if she wins, it will be at the convention, with plenty of shenanigans. A lot of Obama Democrats are going to just stay home.

lendaddy 03-05-2008 12:31 PM

If Hillary wins (I give her 10-20% chance) at convention it will be a huge blow to the Democrats stranglehold on black vote as well. They have taken a ton of **** from the party in regards to broken promises and snubs but this will be the deal breaker. It's a big if though.

Please list some of the actual things that HRC has done or gotten accomplished that seem to so have your balls tied into a knot:

Not a whole bunch...just her top 7 or 8 sins?

Thx

Tim,

If the GOP is going to match the Dems in OH voters you and your boss better find about another 475,000 folks to join you.;)

hytem 03-05-2008 01:22 PM

Well, "*****" isn't as bad as "Hitlery" and "Hildabeast". Do I detect a new-found respect for Hillary? LOL.

If you check out the poll data for Texas on USAToday's website, the Texas results weren't close without the Republican crossover vote--53 to 46 for Obama. The Dem vote was 53-46 Clinton, and the Independents were evenly split. Republicans were clearly trying to beat Clinton by voting for Obama. In Ohio, the crossover vote was pretty much a draw.

Clinton has the momentum now--she will win PA easily. She also has a superdelegate advantage, since a lot of those people are Democratic party officials who tend to favor Clinton over the new guy, Obama.

If the Democrats had the same winner-take-all primary system as the Republicans have had, Clinton would be ahead of Obama in delegates 1226-1036. That's without Texas (not counted yet), Michigan and Florida. She won the latter two primaries, but the delegates were taken away because the states moved their primary dates up. You can bet those states will be contested at the convention.

Right now, it looks good for Clinton. Her strategy of hiding her husband looks like the right one.
I always thought he was a lousy politician. Strictly a policy-wonk.

Read Christopher Hitchen's book "No one left to lie to". He dissected the Clintons.

Nearly everything you listed is nonsense, complete bull*****, or irrelevant.

It's a rant rather than anything logical or fact.

Moderator-- the title of this thread should be ****** ed, like it just got ******ed in my post. I would agree with that. Just be consistent.

Just to get you on record. Are you are saying that republicans will not turn out in droves to defeat Hillary if she gets the nomination? A simple yes they will or no they won't will suffice.

They live in a slightly different reality. I predict record Rep. turnout.

hytem, you fail to mention the effect it will have on the Dem party if Hitlery/Hildabeast/the b!tch:D loses the popular vote, but still gets the nomination based on superdelegates. I.e., the party overrules the vote of the people. How well do you see that going over? Me, I'm thinking not so well.

I'm saying that there is so much resentment per the past 7 years fiasco that it will make little difference how many GOP hil-haters there might be.

Read the numbers!!!

Perhaps the "slightly different reality" is the population of most of this board. Reminds me of what Paul O'Neill said about Bush meetings being "like a blind man in a room full of deaf people" becuase of the lemmings all nodding their heads at each other.

Just because there are about 8 or 10 goofy Hil-Haters on this board does not comprise a national landslide. You guys rant like little kids (and often devoid of any facts) while ignoring that she got over 2,300,000 votes....yesterday!

You might need to talk to them instead of each other.:D

Tim, did the answer befuddle you or what?

Yes, they will turn out in droves.

And no it will not mean a damn thing in the overall picture.

Got it?
