Unless you are able to get olive oil right from a press in Italy, anything coming into the states is not 100% olive oil - it is cut with another veg oil to reduce costs or improve margins. Virgin has to do with clearity - the lighter the more virgin.

That's because organized crime has it's fingers in it over there.
I have a Greek friend in the olive oil import/export business he told me all about it. I designed his logo and have a few bottles and cans of the stuff, it's too rich for most uses, just overpowers you with flavor.
I can get you some of the good stuff..........shhhh.;)
