Patagonia Argentina and Chile
Here are some shots from my recent trip to Southern tip of South America.
Glacier is in El Calfate, Argentina and mountains are in Torres Del Paine, Chile. Shots on the road are from the 400 km drive from Argentina to Chile to hike. Colors are not corrected etc.. so sorry for the professionals on here. Rocks above El Calafate town ![]() Rainbow on 4X4 rode . El Calafate ![]() Fox waiting for handouts near camp where we had lunch. Got to about 15 feet of him/her. ![]() Glacier from overlook before the 4 hour hike ON the glacier. Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the few still advancing glaciers in the world. ![]() From the boat riding to the glacier ![]() Another shot of Perito Moreno ![]() On the road to Chile. The longest road in South America ![]() to help sleep... ![]() Incredible lake - yes those are the colors! and llama-type of animal. ![]() My final destination from the beginning of the hike. ![]() Hiking Perito Moreno, The final scramble up crazy rocks ![]() rent a car: $260 Drive time: 420 km sleep in car: $0 hike time: 3 1/2 hours Arriving at Torres Del Paine: Priceless ![]() to get a sense of scale: ![]() gas in the middle of national park: $2 a LITER ![]()

hey dave,
yeah, i finally got to the RAW files. I haven't posted them anywhere else but here as of yet. funny you shoudl mention falling into river. check out this deep hole! the only ones close to the edge are our guides. water is right up to the edge ![]() ![]()
