weird, the thread starters post didn't show up

if you're trying to clear it to make more space just power up the ps2 without a disc in and select the memory card (browser) to edit

Weird, here's what I had posted that somehow disappeared ...

My boys and I were trying to play GT4 on the PS2 but their memory card won't load. Removing the disc and using the browser options returns the message "There is no data" but it shows 787kb available.

Unfortunately we hadn't backed it up in awhile and they have recently won a bunch of cool cars.

Anybody have experience with this type of problem ?

TIA.

try cleaning the contacts with a q-tip and some cleaner, alcohol works good.
is there a chance that maybe it got bumped and removed when it was trying to save or booting up?

Thanks for the cleaning tip bell ... I'll try that.

Regarding the bump/remove, yes anything is possible here with 2 boys I'm honestly surprised the unit and driving wheel set-up has lasted this long.
