Thoughts, prayers, and a bump for you , Z-Man.
|
Z, my best friends dad, who is 82, was in the same situation. Too many stints. Had the chest cracked and the bypass 6 weeks ago. He is getting up and about pretty good now. Your dad has to be tough to make it to 88!
Prayers out no matter which route the doctors take. |
You and your old man are in my thoughts and prayers, Z-man. Hang in there.
|
All the best, Z. Best wishes/prayers incoming!

Tough times for sure. Stay strong....your family needs you. Prayers and well wishes for your dad.

My best to you and your family, Z man...

Hey Z, So sorry to hear all this. We went through this last year here. Hang in there, do the best you can to be with him, and tell him ya love him. Every dad wants to here it from his son. I'll be thinking of both of you and wishing you both the best of luck.

STENTS are a pretty safe proceedure. My Dad had some done at late '80s.

Praying for your dad here Z. Hope the news is good.

Prayers sent for your Dad, and whole family during this tough time.
Best wishes for both a safe trip, and good news. |
Hang in there Z. Prayers sent. I know how you feel. My dad has undergone 3 open heart surgeries for valve replacement.

My advice is to log your Dad onto PP Off Topic then ban him immediately. Those folks live forever:) All the best, Z. He'll hear every word. |
Zoltan,
My best wishes to your father. Saying you are scared made an impression on me. A human touch. You are a good man, Z. |
You and your family are in our thoughts Zoltan.

Thanks all for the prayers and well wishes.
Latest update: he went for some ultrasound tests to see if there are any blockages to his brain. No results to share yet, but I suspect that if they find no blockages to his brain, there is a greater chance of success if they do the bypass surgery. The doctors need to meet with my family to determine what procedure will occur (either keep him on blood thinners, or go with bypass surgery). I am very blessed to have my father still around for all these years. And for that I am grateful. He has done so many things in his life - I can't imagine even accomplishing half of what he has done. Just last year, he published a book - his life's memoirs. At age 83, he received a PHD in theoligical studies. And the list of his accomplishments goes on and on. I somehow feel (maybe hope), that the Lord has some more accomplishments that he needs to do... But the possibility of losing him even now is very difficult for me to face. My mom is nearly out of her mind - agonized by this situation - not knowing what is best for my father... Again, I appreciate the support... -Zoltan. |
+1 - Hang in there.
