I find it amazing that we have travel opportunities our parents (much less our grandparents) never dreamed of. I can drive to Dulles tonight and be in China, Australia, Vietnam or Thailand by tomorrow afternoon- or virtually anywhere in Europe in the morning. For sums that even those with the lowest incomes can afford.
The world is very close and we're very lucky. You would think our leaders and politicians would realize this- and make fluency in another language a high school graduation requirement- as it is in Europe and many other countries. But don't get me started..... |
