Heres half of my rig. The other half is a 6x10 enclosed trailer. I have magnetic signs for the side of the truck, and the trailer is lettered.

Every project I've ever done I place a site office trailer and storage container.
Office has desk, cabinet, plan tables, phone, fax, etc. Then I have a full time superintendent, first on the job, last off. Super ONLY answers to me, period. Done this for 25 years and works like a damn. current project: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1206262655.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1206262728.jpg |
Pro,
The trailer has shelves I built out of Uni-strut and wood. I keep alot of stuff in Rubbermaid containers. Also put ladder racks on top of the trailer. I was thinking about getting one of those Dodge "Sprinters" that UPS has been switching to. A buddy of mine pick one up for his contracting business. It is perfect. |
Rolling drawers is a great way to go. Go to http://www.mcwelco.com/index.htm and look at all the categories including "floor" boxes.

Yeah, I hear ya! If I only had a dime for every tool stolen from me over the years!
Vans work good for your type of set up; but I'd compliment it with a garage that you can store things in too; then you unload/load the van for each particular job. I've got a buddy that has this set up (electrician) and its slick. He can pull his van right in one bay and the other bay is filled with shelves of all the things he stocks/needs. Alot of guys pull assortments of trailers in/out everyday. The trailer I have on site is pretty much bullet proof. I've also found that most thefts are 'inside' jobs. The thief knows exactly what they're after. Good luck with your van conversion, post up some pics when u r dun? |
