Thanks. But this is a company-wide business trip and they own every second I'm there. It's actually not a very cool trip. Last year's was in Tucson and I did not leave the Loewe's compound the entire time I was there. I got a bus ride from and back to the airport. In SD I'll have a tad more freedom since I'll be on the bike. But every minute is spoken for with company stuff. Only chance I might have to sneak away is on Sat. night when we're all supposed to head out to the Gas Lamp Dist. for dinner.

BTW, I went to Death Valley on July 4th a few years ago. Now, THAT was HOT. But going back to Vegas the same day, the heat was tolerable. 110 here is better than 80 on the east coast. Today, riding my bike due west on the 101 loop at sunset was kinda rough. Man, that sun is bright here.

Ha, what's up Marc! I do miss the original PNW Pelican Fam, but have to say I don't miss much else (especially the weather). Oh, and Joe is right: I NEED another 911! After Rick was gracious enough to hand the keys over to that nicely-sorted 993, it all came back to me. I definitely needed that little refresher. :cool:
