I knew things were bad in the rust belt, but this is scary.

Nearly one in 10 Ohioans now receives food stamps, the highest number in the state's history.

Yea, I know, they are all lazy poor folk who don't want to work, spending their money on booze and lottery tickets and the heck with them.

I just took money out of my meager life savings for the third March in a row, it might be time to close my doors. The only architects I know with work are those doing work out of state and or out of the country.

Why do Republican run economies always end up this way? Why do they want to destroy the middle class and the working class?

Things are great in Illinois. That "Republican economy" is doing wonders.

They closed those steel plants on the south side of Chicago years ago, nice to know that everyone has recovered. Was there any help?

Yeah the economy is also doing well here in Republican led Missouri too!

Anything tied to Manufacturing sucks, it does not matter if it's Michigan or another state or even Ontario, Canada.

Same problems in up-state New York. Basically, you can't tax and spend your way into prosperity. Besides the weather - people are fed up with an endless crappy economy and many of the energetic move out to Denver or down to North Carolina. And you are left with one in ten on food stamps..

Considering what is going on in a number of states, and the overall economy, those are pretty good figures!

I read that there is some aviation industry there, it could be tied to military contracts - just a guess.

My Textron stock for instance (what I have left) is still doing great.
