Jaguar Land Rover going to Tata
This should be an interesting business partnership. First 7Eleven now Jaguar Land Rover.

Tata makes some pretty basic diesel pick-ups and SUVs. Maybe they will come over here branded as Land Rovers?

Its a shame but think of the markets that will be opened in Asia for the brands.
Another fire sale by Ford.

Ford was not happy with Land Rover and Jag, so best that they move on. Ford at least made Jags reliable, so that was a good thing.
Hope that this works and the Tata group has a pretty good reputation overseas.

It can really only be an improvement for LR and Jag. Those (jag in particular) are money bleeding names from the past that need lots of cash to keep the companies going, and the products developed and improving. Tata has lots and lots of cash. Ford is broke.

Could it be because of "tata's size"? Usually the larger the tatas, the more cash flow.

Does this include Aston Martin? Isn't that part of Jaguar-Land Rover?

Aston Martin has never been a part of Jaguar or Land Rover. Actually, none of those companies have really "been a part" of each other. They are all three separate makers, but were all at one time owned by Ford.
Ford sold Aston Martin around a year ago to a private investment group. So no, it's not part of the sale to Tatas. |

I went on the Tata Motors website to check out their cars. Guess which option they don't offer...
Yep. Leather seating. Don't Jags and Land Rovers have leather?
