Fed 'loaning' money to investment firms.

I returned yesterday afternoon after 3 weeks on the road in India. Brain is still a bit hazy.

Caught the news via internet while overseas, but did not really have time to digest the current state of affairs until today.

Please correct me if I am wrong on two points:

1) The federal government is loaning hundreds of billions of dollars to investment firms to keep them solvent, a step it has not taken since the 1930s. These 'loans' sure as hell look like 'investments' to me. So while the workers at these firms have walked away with hundreds of billions in bonuses, they have effectively driven their companys into the ground by purchasing absurdly speculative financial products based on low grade mortgages. And now tax payers are going to foot the bill.

2) Hillary Clinton still believes that she can be elected president.

No, you completely misunderstand. Its the 3rd world food and food poisoning that has challenged your brain. Oh, and its "only" 30 Billion to one company.

Hillary WILL be the next president. Obama is going to have a nasty encounter in a park where he commits suicide with a bullet to the back of the head.

If you only knew. I got the worst case of food poinsoning in my entire life in Chandigarh. I have never been so violently ill. Your digestive system is capable of emptying itself in an astonishingly short period of time if provoked by the right bug. My wife is a doc, and she put me on that salt/sugar water solution they give to starving kids in Africa I was so dehydrated. Good times, good times....
