Gettin stupid with the neighbors.

Was out for a bike ride with the wife and kids.

One of the neighbors called us over to show us his new toy.

A margarita blender made from a 5 gallon cooler and a garbage disposal unit.

Pretty cool.

He had made one a while back and had his buddie who does PR for Texas Motor Speedway said he should make one for Jimmie Johnson.

So he did and Jimmie called him to thank him and suggested he should make one for the CEO of Lowe's. That was the one we "test drove" today.

So I guess you got wasted in front of the kids with one of the neighbors?

That's cool! I'm just lacking the kids-!

The heck with a garbage disposal. Here is what you really need.

I like mine on the rocks. But I guess a garbage disposal would do the trick if you like the slusshy variety. Too much brain freeze for me.

I much prefer a glass of nice tequila, neat.

But, I do appreciate serious drink making machines too.

Best,

Kurt

Exactly how I like mine. I find that if you blend the ice the margarita will get watered down. Everyone thinks I am weird for wanting just a cup of ice and then a few nice shakes. Plus it's MUCH easier to make.

margarita and blender does not compute

Blenders are for smoothies. A margarita is on the rocks.

Is he getting paid to make these or are these rich guys getting them for free?

Similar to what he built. The return on his entered closer to the top instead of in the bottom though.

He said use a 3/4 HP not a 1/2. The 1/2 just did not cut it.

Jimmie insisted on paying him but he turned it down.

They sent him Lowes gift cards for his efforts.

Apparently Jimmie is big into this kind of stuff. Supposedly he has motorized bar stools at his house that they race around in.

i tend to agree, but i like my margaritas with the ice "beaten". i build them in the blender then just crush the ice a bit with a quick blast. the slivers of ice as i drink down the elixer...yum. oh, i tend to drink fast, so nothing melts too much.

slurpee margaritas are for tourist.

Hmm...I like my margaritas on the rocks too.

I do like Piña Coládas and Daquiries blended though.
