So awesome.

Closest thing like that that ever happened to me was with Kramer Guitars. I had a real hard time with an order when I was 15. Eventually, I got tired of waiting and just settled for the wrong color. But I wrote a letter to Dennis Berardi, the pres. of Kramer. A week later he called me up to apologize, sent me a case of strings and invited me down to the factory for a tour. That was during Van Halen's 5150 tour and I got to see a few of EVH's guitars being painted there. I bet Zach will never forget his Rush story.

Bravo Alex.

See you at the Gorge in WA.

Huge Rush fan here; could somebody please post the gist of this as I don't have sound here at work?

A kid goes to NAMM and plays on an amp that Alex uses. He plays the crap out of some Rush songs and the sales rep is really impressed. So he calls Alex and tells him about this kid who plays his songs well and has been a massive Rush fan since he was six, he looks 12 or 13 now.

Alex sends the kid an amp head and speaker cab from his tour and talks to him on the phone. Make a Wish eat your heart out. The kid is totally healthy!

Thanks, very cool. I roomed with two guys in college who were even bigger fans than me. Both played guitar...it was a good time in my life.

The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade.
