REALLY good stuff.

It's not a single vineyard wine but man is it nice. Great nose, nice weight, awesome flavor and not too too short of a finish (could be a touch longer but i wouldn't change this particular mix just for that).

I had an '06 Acacia pinot at a hospitality suite, fan appreciation thing at the last King's exiciting victory. I don't know who picked out the spread, but they did a good job. Coconut shrimp, chicken breast filets that tasted just like Kentucky Fried(which is good to me, a fryer that is a pressure cooker, who would have thought) Really good cold platter, some Panchetta, bunch of good cheeses. Nice greeter too, Jessica, 6' blonde with legs well above my belt, freak of nature really.

Toasted Head Chardonnay which was decent, but I have liked Acacia wines for a long time.

IIRC i had some lightly breaded fried shrimp with the C&B PN a week or two ago and it was a fantastic pairing. Big, butterflied shrimp, not the little popcorn jobbers. Better than beer would've been IMO!

I tried the Acacia (mid level maybe? not the cheapest but not the priciest) PN over Easter weekend on the recommendation of the wine shop i stopped in. It was somewhat less fruity and needed some breathing time but not bad. For ALMOST 1/2 the price I prefer the C&B (even at equal pricing actually).

I have a bottle of Lily PN to open soon. It was rated well by that Vaynerchuck character so i thought i'd find out what PN is supposed to taste like.
