Nice! Try to get a bodycast LATE in the season. They're never fun, but especially bad during hot, sticky weather.

Hahaha, just messing with you. I am a pretty big guy, so I need the extra cc's.
You planning on riding it on tracks, trails, etc? Bill |
No falls, no balls. :D
|
Mostly MX and SX tracks on weekends when I am not dragging knees racing/track day riding my Aprilias.
A friend has a MX and SX track in his "backyard" to play on and there are a few other comercial MX tracks within a hours drive. |
THat being said, that woudl be a fun bike. I do some track riding but not as much trail now adays.

Glad to be of assistance:D
I'm very jealous, I'm hoping to get mine later this year but I've set a weight loss goal before I'll allow it and late summer is the target. Glad to see you stuck with a two stroker. Also, they have an MX track at Grattan, more than one way to injure yourself at a single location:D |

All that said, I am thinking of picking up a used '03-'06 CR250 this summer to go play in the 40+ class and maybe the intermediate class also (I used to race AMA 250B class). I do notice that on the 125, even being out of practice, I have it pinned WFO nearly always and find myself SEVERELY abusing the clutch. Have fun 5axis...congrats! |
Tim,
Did you ever have your suspension customized to your size, weight and style? I had that done on my last one and it was amazing what a difference it made. Granted you are the prototypical MX size so the bikes are made for you already and I'm........well huge:D But I highly recommend you spend the dough on your next one it an amazing difference. |

Hell no! ..... I was too cheap back then and was a poor college student :D I did however play with the settings and used different weight oils depending on what I was shooting for. A couple racing friends used to call me Herbie (Hancock) as a joke and over the years I had a few horrendous crashes due to the bike kicking back and forth (mainly in my earlier racing days). My friends gave any kind of motion like this in the whoops or over rough braking bumps the name "the Herbie shuffle". It usually resulted in clicking/adjusting in some more rebound damping :D |
tim...have you riden a newer cr with the aluminum frame? they are STRONG...holy crap are they strong. they feel like a 125 but have the power of a 500..i had a 99 cr250 and it was absolutly a blast! I would LOVE to build up a 500 with the aluminum frame some day...my god would that be fast
