Tough and we wish you the best.
Time a few days to clear your head and I hope a door opens for you soon......... |
Wow sorry man. I work as an account manager at a large credit card institution and a lot of people are calling to try and get us to cover the cost of their flights since it was such short notice. We are giving out lists of alternate carriers that hopefully can help them but since its so short notice we will probably cover a lot of them with the purchase insurance. I heard since they lost a big military contract it was all so sudden.
Good luck. |
BTW, do you need a place to crash enroute? I am not home, and live in Phoenix, a ways South of your route but you are more than welcome to crash there if you wish.

Thanks for the offers, right now I am in Flagstaff, AZ. It's the first opportunity I've had to get online since KOA.
I had to stop in Kingman, AZ, and have my master cylinder replaced Saturday morning. I may go a few more miles tonight. |
Russ, I was a 121 guy for years also but now at the Fracs. If you want info on my company, let me know..

Thanks for the info, Rattlsnak. I flew for Enterprise Airlines in the late 80's. It was scheduled part 135 passenger service in CE-550s.

Welcome to the club, Russ.
I lost a BPA with the Air Force in January. It made up over 60% of my business. I spent 1Q08 trying to recover; trying to capture some new work. I'll be closing the shop in about two weeks, when I go find a "real job". |
At the risk of sounding insensitive, I'll quote my father: "It hurts the first time, doesn't it?"
That was about a year ago, and I had just been fired from a job that I was miserable in. In my case, there was a certain sense of relief. I had spent months knowing that no matter how hard I tried, I was probably still going to get fired. When it finally happened, there was a lot of shock and pain, but there was also a sense of relief. "It's finally over." I got a bit of a lucky break: the Navy sent me to a desk job to give me a chance to figure out what to do with my career, and I met a guy who had known the boss who fired me. "That guy was the biggest prick I've ever met, and incompetent to boot," he explained. "Listen, if you're interested in working with computers, I know a guy who is desperate for someone with your skills." Now, about a year after getting fired from a job I hated, I'm up to my ears in work that I'm good at, and I can only chalk it up to providence. So as someone who sympathizes with your situation, my hope is that you'll find another job soon that you'll enjoy more than the last one. :) Dan |
