VW-Porsche Tapiro
In 1970 Giorgetto Guigiaro unveiled his Porsche Tapiro at the Turin Motor Show.
The car was purchased after the show and subsequently destroyed by terrorists protesting the labor practices of the car's owner. I wrote an article about it yesterday that can be found here http://993c4s.com/?p=293 if you want more information. Does anyone have any idea as to what museum the remains of this car ended up in? I've been searching with no luck yet. I know it is supposed to be somewhere in Italy, just not sure where. Thanks, John ![]()

No, the 914 was already in production at this point. This was simply a "concept" car that used a 914/6 chassis and mechanicals. A very interesting concept car and one whose design elements were then copied in almost every super car we know today. That's the idea of the "folded paper" design.

I think I read awhile back that it was at the Giugiaro Museum.

Would make sense as he was designer. Thanks very much. where did you find the picture? I sent an email the Giugiaro earlier today asking the whereabouts. Hopefully they will respond.
