A buddy of mine just bought one (Rat Ride) and we need to find the

The frame has been changed. Anybody know where to look?

The vin was stamped on the top of the frame near the steering box. If the frame has been changed, that will cause problems.

I don't have any knowledge of the Fords per se, but it's common for vehicles of that era to have a build plate riveted on the firewall in addition to the frame stamp.

Flash and Tish are correct. Should be on the top of the frame on the driver's side by the steering box and on a stamp located on the firewall. A lot of the times the firewall stamp is missing or has been taken off if the car has been street rodded.

Also, not to hijack, but we need a '40 Deluxe hood if anyone has one they wanna get rid of.

OK. Thanks Guy's. I'll do some more checking for him. Kansas DMV is making a stink about it.

Chris your father's 1940 Ford Convertible is beautiful.

Gawd, that's pretty!
