Socialized risk, privitized profit
I just paid a bundle in ******* taxes and this really pisses me off! These idiots in Washington are crazy! Bipartisan BS. Between this and the NYTimes article on hedge fund manager compensation, I'm about ready to lock and load!

I'm also sick of this socialization of risk. People need to be responsible for all of their actions.

Didn't we just have a thread on our lack of freedom? Specifically our lack of freedom to do stupid things like smoke, eat fatty foods and not have health insurance unless we wanted it?

You too can lobby and have laws written in your favor. Get some kids to huddle around, wave your flag - but mostly pay lobbyists to pay off elected officials.
Then you can share in the public trough. The new American Way! |

Follow the money...everything you need to know about your favorite pol is in their budget voting record and their sponsorship/support of budget riders.
None of this was anticipated by the FF's, or they would have insisted on term limits. The specter of a Chris Dodd or Trent Lott would have sickened them, one and all, just like it makes me hurl.
