One of my best friends is in Melbourne, Aus. for the second time since last year working on a film about WRC racing. It's being produced by the actor Eric Bana, who has raced cars and bikes for over ten years and apparently is crazy about WRC.

My buddy is not really a car guy, (he's a film editor), but of course he knows I am so he sent this photo today taken w/ iphone of him and Bana in EB's RHD Carrera S, sitting in traffic in Melbourne.

Tough life he has. Surfing, short-term relationships w/ Aussie surfer chicks, driving really, really fast in a bunch of cool cars w/ a semi-pro driver who is a nice guy and now his buddy, etc...

Never been to Australia, I'm jealous..

LOL, He crashed his N/A 944 on the Classic Adelaide. Son got his Porsche cap signed by Bana. Nice guy, but really, not a very good driver.

I think he crashed out of the last Targa Tasmania if I remember correctly. Of course that could happen to anyone. Even Jim Richards crashes sometimes.

It's excellent that he is driving cars and not wasting his time swanning around beautiful supermodels at free love LA parties.

That's how I see it too, Rob. Never understood haters, I really enjoy seeing other people happy.

My friend Conor is one of my favorite people, actually his whole huge Irish-American family. His dad is one of 10 kids and he has about 100 cousins, I think. He is talented and has one of the coolest jobs around, IMO, (cutting documentaries), but is as low-key and friendly as they come. He grew up floating around on a surf board in the Santa Monica bay w/ his cousins and friends, so he originally took this gig as an all-expenses trip to the Aussie waves. Now he has really bonded w/ Bana, (and vice-versa), plus Bana's non-stop enthusiasm for speed and motorsports has worn-off on my buddy. That's the cool thing about documentary people, they get so into whatever they are studying and making a film about, then when the project is over they move on to an entirely different subject and a new group of interesting people.

His endorsement of Eric B. is all I need to know he's a good bloke.

Considering that it's a personal photo of mine that I'm sharing w/ my friends here, that would be pretty ****ed if someone tried to do that. I guess it's a mistake to put anything you don't want broadcast on the internet anywhere, I'm still a little naive about these things.

There are plenty enough pictures of Bana around, this is a picture mostly of my friend. Please keep it here.
