more bad influences

The Shiver 750 was the first of a series of middleweight bikes form Aprilia. Here is the second - the Dorsoduro

street tard

Often the thought of a 550 from AF1 rolls through my head. Other impure thoughts quickly follow. The odds of me making my 10 mile commute without me winding up in braclets would not be good. I still want one anyway and the squad cars around here are pretty clean and comfy

The real plus is there is a sumo track 1/2 hour from here and it's $30 for the day to ride.

yeah, it's their take on the supermotard. They already have thumper versions, this is the 750cc v-twin. It should be a couple $K less than the Ducati Hypermotard, and will likely be on par for performance. The 750 v-twin is a very nice lump so far, and the ride-by-wire is well behaved. I haven't even switched from touring to sport mode yet...plenty of response in T.

They also will likely have a half-faired version of the 750 coming out at some point probably with a tad tighter pegs as well. Hopefully they will sell a bunch so aftermarket support increases and they get more dealers in the US.

I dig some of the old stuff. I especially like the period ads and styles.

Maybe next year, plan a trip up the coast perhaps and stop over in Monterrey or SF.

I sort of would like to go see this stuff myself, lot of rich dudes live an easy ride from that place, don't know how much ridin' around they do, I would.
