Hmmmm 5.2

Mother nature woke me up at 4:40 this morning with a 5.2 earthquake.

She's a *****......

I know you guys in Cali don't even wake up for anything less than a 6.0, but this is unusual around here. Thought we were having a tornado.:D

News people here are having multiple quake-gasms, relating everything to the earthquake.
Woke me up too though.

Yeah, they've been doing that here too. They are taking every phone call, and putting them on television. NOTHING is more funny than older southern Illinois hillbillies on T.V. relating how petrified they are. One poor old lady went into a sad story about how noone ever checks up on her, how her husband passed away, the whole story of her kids moving away, etc. The uncomfortable look on the newscaster's face was priceless. He kept trying to get her off the air, but she just wouldn't stop talking. He did put her on hold though, and got her info and sent the sherriff out to check on her. Poor old gal.

Ummm, the ground shook, no one died, no damage reported around here, let's get on with life.

By the end of the day, the same guy that predicted the end of the world as we know it the last time we had a tremor, will be all over doing the same thing again. It was just so convenient that he has a book that you can buy to tell you what to stock up on to survive when the New Madrid Fault lets go.

FEMA has a few nice trailers left over from Hurricane Katrina. They're ready to help you out. :)

I need to go sign up, look for me on the news!

It's W's fault! He hates Hill Billies! (gotta practice)

Shook the holy hell out of my house. I live near some train tracks and thought a derailment was coming thru the front door.

Quakes are wild when they only come every 40 years or so.

The wife woke me up. I thought it was just the wind blowing hard.

I grew up in SoCal, so a 5.2 didn't really register with me.

now is the chance for every one in l.a. to bug people in the midwest with "i heard someone got hurt, was it you?" phone calls.
