Not sure if you all know about these, but they are fun:

Here's another good one. Some obscure and not so obscure bands.

I think Jim Cesiro introduced this one to me. I find it amazing.

I like finetune.com. You can build your own playlists.

pandora.com is the cat's meow.

I go here often when surfing the web...click on your favorite year of top 40 radio...the tunes coming out of my cheap computer speakers remind me of transistor radio days...;)

You can also use Darwin Streaming Server and set up your own streams for around your house, etc.

When I mow the lawn, my "radio" is a stream coming from the house to my Nokia 770 that I carry in my pocket...

Looks pretty good but can't get it to work on my iMac :(

Jim727 04-21-2008 09:57 AM

Interesting that it won't work on a mac. Try checking here for a player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I use VideoLan for pretty much everything. Works well.

I'll try it but usually I just stick to iTunes for music and internet radio.

I expect most everyone knows about www.live365.com. Hundreds of internet radio choices there and they load right into iTunes.

BTW, where in No. Cal are you?
