I know it is not easy, but you did a good thing for society.

I once was an expert witness on a murder case. My testamony put the murder at the crime scene and collaborated a few witnesses. NO details, but I was glad to do it.
The two detectives that came to my office were super cool and the assistant DA was equally cool and competent.

I to saw the murder's father in the court room, and I know he knew that his son was likely going to prison. Very sad, but you "must" think of the victims and that helped me tremendously.

Remember, he will not be able to do this again, and you were part of it!
