"I scold myself when I early apex a highway exit ramp".

And finish up with two wheels in the ice plant. :D

Leaving the track you catch yourself left foot braking your pick up while towing your race car.
You know you are a racer if your race car windshield is covered in oil from another car.

You try to beat the estimated time of arrival on your navigation system.
Or if your garage looks like this you might be a racer. ;)

When your neighbor asks why the kerbs into your driveway are alternating white/black and have tire marks on them

Our 2nd home is in AZ, desert driving with cruise control is special too; I-10 east bound past Desert Center CA is a BIG squiggle in the highway, hit the entries, apexes & exits you barely move the steering wheel and NO cancel cruise control, drives the wife nuts
Remember 79 is fine, 80 + your mine; Cali Highway Patrol

You are so tempted to pass the car in front of you on the inside at an on ramp.
(I'll do it one day!!!)

When every time you get behind the wheel in your DD you remind yourself “ if you don’t go for a gap that exists, you’re no longer a racing driver “

truer words have not been applied to a sticky surface...

after having tracked and ultimately went racing in my 911 for 5 seasons I can say that having moved to the Jeep thing they are comparable. when I go out onto the rocks in my YJ it's not as intense as racing could be in a moment, but it is a long slow day of challenges that will get the heart rate up a few times an hour. unlike my old car there is not a ton of sitting around in the paddock waiting for your run group.

it's cheaper than racing a porsche and you are out in the forest all day and I can take the YJ to the grocery store regularly and take the dog along when i head out wheeling.

notice the full anchor mode with flex to stay anchored by the dog in the back.

I have placed weight evenly in the bed of my truck

When I had four sons and the wife in the minivan had them sit in position to balance the weight.

Added caster and camber to all DDs

Added larger swaybars on DDs

Can drive decreasing radiuses

Added gas on tight turns to combat tire scrubbing speed.

Have brought my helmet car shopping.

when your age in years almost matches the number of race cars you've help create

when after 30 yrs of racing you still want to go racing

when nearly all your friends are racers too ;)

when your race car model collection out grows your house :D

when you've only built one car for yourself :(

when your racing work means you've never had time to race a car yourself

When in !968 you are sitting 6 across at a traffic light looking a half block down the street where the 6 lanes become one. I’m revving the engine in my 58 1100cc beatle looking at the hausfraus around me in their borgwards and isettas and of course their beatles revving away with looks of grim determination to be first to the narrowing street. Great fun.
