So what seems wrong? It's basically an electric socket driver attached to a typical scissor jack...

Its not lifting the wheel of the SUV off the ground.

I bet its not strong enough to jack from the rear axle.

In Red Beard's post, I get a scrollable window that is a live shot of my page from the PP forum parent directory page:

Looks to me like it's not lifting the wheel off the ground because it's too short for the SUV. I've used my cordless drill attached to a scissor jack like that before and lifted the car with no problem at all.

2000lb capacity!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
that not even strong enough to safely lift my 2171lb Porsche

why would you think that is even safe with a modern SUV

Ted,

Are you going to lift the entire car with the jack or just one corner? I think the jack should be able to lift one side of the car without a problem.

As for the jack being high enough, I think it might be. In the video, it appears as if the tire gets off the ground, although barely.

i prefer not to use a jack or jack stands that dont have the capacity to hold comeplete weight of what i am lifting. even if it is just one corner...better safe than sorry. emergency/ease of use still isnt reason to risk it for me.
