“Church officials have denied that any children were abused at the ranch and say the state's actions are a form of religious persecution.”

I guess that depends on how you define abuse. From their definition, a pregnancy resulting from a “spiritual marriage” between an older man and a teenage girl is not abuse, it “brings glorification in heaven.”
