The New Speed Racer.
 

Was hanging with my son yesterday and caught the first episode of the new Speed Racer. That was my all time favorite show as a kid 35 + years ago.

Anyone else catch it?

I know the movie looks lame, wasn't aware there was a new cartoon.

I never really got into it but anything that sends the message to kids that the place to drive fast is on the track is fine by me. At least it'll undo some of the idiocy inspired by drivel like "Fast and the Furious".

Hope it does well. They had the car & cast from the movie at the L.B.G.P. expo last week. Looked kinda' neat. The Mark V even had the correct "phone dial" wheels. Well, okay, they're not EXACTLY Porsche phone dials, but they're pretty close. :)

Hey, I resent that...I live my life a quarter mile at a time.

That reminds me -- I'm not doing too well on my diet these days...

Anyway - <back on topic> - I'm actually looking forward to the new Speed racer flick - looks like some fun, mindless retro movie. Will probably go see it at the Warwick Drive Inn Theature, one of the last exsisting Drive-inns in my area (about an hour drive away)
