Wayne needs to start a German Mower forum and start selling them.

Let me tell you, when the Gardena really starts humming it sounds just like my '88.

The Gardena reels look nice - they also claim "Contact-free cutting technique (cutting cylinder and bottom blade do not touch each other)."

I got a flyer on the porch the other day and the guy was promoting his all human powered lawn service. I asked him about the push mower he uses ALL day and he said the new ones are very efficient and take less effort. They also rake and broom. How refreshing. HE's getting may account soon. (I hire the front done and I do the back. The front is a pretty steep slope.)

Always get a kick out of the guy who hires you just to do the slopes. Hopefully he charges you enough for it!

My knees are a bit tricky these days. I need them to do carpentry work and an occasional Porsche restoration. I don't need to twist one on a lousy lawn.

Satisfied?

Looking back, I think my Dad planned it that way. :)

Best,

Kurt,

LOL. Did your dad talk to mine? Same story here. We had a 1/4 acre lot with hills for me. Sometime I think i need to get back to using one on my postage stamp sized lot.

Thanks for the memory.
