Lessee, driving down the price of oil would just about cure most problems nowadays, so we should focus on that goal. Here's how:
Write your congressmen and women asking them to do the following:
1) take a look closer at the speculators and their shills and see if there are any shenanigans.
2) open up the west coast and Alaska to more drilling, and stop messing with the existing wells in the gulf coast. Freaking idjut politicians want tp put more tariffs on existing leases and all that does is slow down production.
3) no more aide of any kind to any oil-producing country that does not crank up oil production when we ask.
We pay for the stuff so it isn't like we're stealing it, in return they have to respond to our requests for higher production levels. If they don't, then they are no longer our friends and will be treated accordingly.
4) get rid of those stupid ethanol mandates!

Do all that and oil will be back to $55 a bbl, gas will be $2.25 a gallon, food will still be reasonable, and everyone will be happy. Except Hugo Chavez, he'll be dead.

One stupidass employee out of a hundred thousand makes a mistake decades ago and you vow not to buy the products made by his former employer? Really?

Boycotts of price-fixed commodities are like pissing your pants on a cold day. Feels good while you're doing it, but in the end, there's no discernable benefit.

I do not think walk is a viable solution for all your needs.....how did all the crap you want get to the store?
How are all raw materials brought to market?
How are all raw materials moved b4 they are brought to market ?
You see ...there is a bigger cost crouching behind the counter then most of us all relize,
We are concerned with just gas price, What we really ought to upset over is diesel price, Thats the one the will STOP everything Planting the field , plowing the field, Digging rock (ore)
