is installing a 3M (or equivalent) clear bra DIY-able?
 
i dont have the foggiest about this topic. where do you get it done? approx cost? brands? does it even protect the car? give me some details, please.

All I have heard is

1. Have it done by a pro

2. make sure they use 3M or equal; some of the stuff turns yellow in the sun.

Think most GOOD window tinters can do it

I've done it on my 993 and the wife's MINI, got the 3M kit from InvincaShield. Took about 2-3 hrs. each time. They both came out great and ran me under $200 each. With what a pro charges, I could screw it up 4-5 times and still save some money.
