last 3 days I've looked up everything from late model Legacy GT's, 5.0 Mustang LX, E39 M5 to even 3rd gen Toyota Supra turbos and 89 up 300ZX turbos as my next play car.

Still have not finished my 70 LeMans, my just purchases 07 Trailblazer SS, and I just got done doing about 1,000,000 maintenance and upgrade things to my truck.

You're not the only one with a wandering eye -or in my case Car ADD.

Nothing wrong here; just another car crazy guy!
As long as you do not spend more than you can reasonably afford, enjoy yourself.

I know one guy who finally started making some good money (>$150K), and the first thing he does is buy two cars: a new Avalanche, and a Nimso 350Z. $78K in cars before savings, 401K, owning a house, etc... To each his own... but since he works as much as me, he has no time to enjoy both, so it is just 2 depreciating assets.

The Nimso does rock though!

Well it will be cheaper.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 cars in 3 years, I feel your pain. Car ADD is a b!tch, always looking for the perfect car, never seem to find it. Plus they're German cars (always broken), so it's even more sadistic. I've told myself that the next one will be Lexus or something Japanese, but then I find my eye wandering over to E39 BMWs. And I desperately want an Alfa, which is even worse. Help!

Well it gets even worse when you buy cars, and you can convince yourself that you have a reason to have them. I have 2 911's, they are for my therapy. The Boxster, yeah that is a great daily driver, the MB is too. The truck, well everybody needs a truck, the Honda is the daughters ride. I miss my BMW's and find myself wanting to replace them with more BMW's. My wife has become an enabler with my addiction. (she gets to drive some nice things so I understand that)
Buy, collect, and be happy, or just start collecting woman and be totally broke.

I can hear it now: I'd like to start this meeting by welcoming our new members.

Maybe that's how we should start all our little mountain runs.

My therapist says there is no cure and gave up on me. So I'm taking that money to go find more cars.

I have two 911s in the garage. Both are very, very nice but not perfect so there are minor projects waiting for me. So why do I keep looking at other cars to buy? Not to replace the Porsches but to add to the stable. I don't have time to drive what I have as it is but still I keep looking. I'm on craigslist daily looking for that nice E30, Miata, S2000, Mercedes 4Matic AMG wagon, BMW touring wagon, 2002 tii, Magnum PI 308, MGB, Alfa Graduate...the list goes on and on. Sooner than later I will bite and then be miserable. I added on a third driveway because I have no room on which to park the cars I have now.

What the heck's wrong with me? I'm thinking that since variety is the spice of life but married life has been good to me, I'd rather play the field with cars than with other women. That's what I tell my wife anyway. She just thinks I'm nuts.

love me some may-be-so!

Reality ? I wanted a car that felt like it was going a hundred at 80.

As opposed to a car that feels like it is doing 60 at 100.
