2008 UPM - Las Vegas NV June 28 & 29th!
 

OK you buncha rascals and scallywags, I sense a leadership vacuum and I'm willing to fill it!

Now is the time for another UPM - Vegas is the venue and June 28 & 29 is the desired dates. Come early if you want (but I normally try not to!).

We will need to figure out a few things - place to stay, place to eat (possibly one of the same?)

Normally there are all sorts of things people want to do and see but lets face it, the only thing we will end up doing is going to some bar, drinking like fish then going to some place to eat then going to do more drinking.

The chances of anything else beyond that happening are pretty remote. So, let’s call a spade a shovel and move forward. Here are some of the things to be sorted out:

Figures, I'll be in LV the week before for a show we're filming, and two weeks later for a conference. Have fun.

We also need to figure out where to rent machine guns for the Ultimate Pelican Shootout.

Seriously, those dates work for me and I will be in Vegas this weekend, if you have any suggestions for Jordi and me to scout out, though we might be busy with dim sum and gun play.

There is a couple of large events (~60,000 people) scheduled for that weekend, so rooms may be more expensive. The weekend before seems more 'quiet'

Find a local buddy who needs a car transported out this way and offer to do it. Might be cheaper to fly though.

How about when it's cooler in Vegas, like the fall? Summer is ******* hot, especially for the oilers (like me). Plus lead time let's some of us get our schedule together.....
