How 'Bout the Hornets?

The geniuses at ESPN gave them no chance against Dallas, who they handled pretty easily in 5 games. The same ESPN geniuses gave them absolutely no chance against the Spurs who they just finished blowing out for the second time. I'm not much of a basketball fan, but I'm a bandwagoneer. Go Hornets.

They ran Bryon Scott out of Jersey and dumped Chandler in Chicago. New Orleans is having the last laugh now! Chris Paul and David West are dominate players. On to La. It is hard to believe the way the Spurs are playing. The last two games they were awful.

I hadn't watched the NBA for years until last years finals when I tuned back in to watch Tim Duncan vs Lebron (hadn't seen him play before). My buddy told me about the Hornets a few weeks ago (I didn't realize that Chris Paul, a local high school and Wake Forest star was even with them), so I've been watching with great interest the past two games. The torch is being passed imo...Chris Paul is the "real deal" (always has been), and just like Duncan, he's a class act for a 23 year old. I can't lose in this series

Chris Paul is a super class act. Great guy, always doing something in the community. Word is he's hanging with Reggie Bush. Maybe he can pass some of what he's got over to Reggie.

I hear Perriloux may be headed to FSU or Miami. They don't care if they are straight out of the penitentiary.

Actually I think you get credit for time served at Miami.

Not to say LSU shouldn't have known better and acted sooner.

Miles definitely gave him the benefit of the doubt. Word was that in HS he was a good kid. So how about this wideout the Saints picked up? Word is that a lot of folks in MI liked him better than Manningham.

They are looking pretty tough. I think you will see a different SA team when they get home. Boston and Detroit both had a lot more trouble in the first round than they were supposed to have too.

SA has nobody who can stop Paul or West, from the looks of things so far.

Arrington? Naw, Manningham is a freak I doubt you'll ever hear about Arrington again.

The spurs are old and tired, they are very close to having to rebuild that team.

I wouldn't count them out just yet. Although I woudn't disagree with your assessment, I tend to think it's more of a "psychological letdown" after their last series. I'm pretty sure it'll be different when they play in SA and they're not going to roll over just yet as they didn't get all those rings that way. Tony Parker is still a young'n, but needs to bring his "A game" for them to have a chance, and Duncan is still Duncan .

3rd quarter defense was the key in the first series & so far in this one. If they can't answer that, they're toast.

The spurs still have talent, but I think Tim is part his prime. He just looks slow to me, reminds me a little of Kareem near the end, dogging it up and down the court.
