Prescott Arizona
OK, we did a visit, stay and scout the area of Payson AZ, but........ I'm slow, but Payson was wow, REALLY slow there. Beautiful area, a couple of very nice golf courses and the people were very, very friendly but man it was Zzzzzz's ville.
Give me the dirt, dust, wind about Prescott if you can. Best places to buy and anything else you can think of. I like a bit of elbow room, I don't think I could ever live in a development....but ya never know. I'm on 10 acres right now, maybe 1 acre would do for retirement. View, lake, river, creek would be a huge plus. Thanks, madmmac

If you're into motorcycling, that area is paradise. The best kept secrets in AZ are not accessible by car. I did a serious ride there two weeks ago.

Agree, and go to Jerome, Sedona and so on.
Rick, I need to dust off the cobwebs off of the airplane and take you up for some airborne scouting in this area! Should be home in 3-4 days or so...

![]() There are a few properties in the June 8 home auction. www.USHomeAuction.com Prescott is very nice. The population has a retired California feel and things have gotten better if you need employment. A few years ago you needed a masters degree if you wanted to work in a coffee shop. Stay at the Hayssayampa Inn. Splurge. The lower price rooms are basic and small bath. Take the Romance package with suite. The dining room is very nice. John_AZ |

I lived in Prescott for several years, great place! It has exploded in population and growth over the last 10 years, retired Californians, etc. Four seasons, not too hot in the summer, some snow in the winter. Water is a real concern in the area. If you buy land make sure there is good supply of water!

Yuma is too far from the major college, pro teams and cultural trappings of Phoenix that the wife and I enjoy.
This is for retirement. I won't be needing employment. We already have a summer home here in Washington that we will use from around June through October or so. We enjoy warm weather but not burning my a$$ up or having to run from the car to the house.
