That's one of my favorite shows. I always thought "why don't they hire more guys?"

They'd have to split up the profits, but they wouldn't have to work 24 hours straight on a pitching deck in 20 deg weather.

That's one fishing industry that get it. They determine how much crab can be taken each year and then end the season when that total is reached. It ensures that there will be a next season.

That's what I couldnt find, never heard of it before.

Funny, I cant stand King or Snow crab, no flavor. Blue crabs on the other hand... :)

I saw the episode with the truck. I was waiting for the line or the gear to break, that would have been ugly.

This is one show on TV that has no T&A and men still watch it.

I like the Ax Men. Men cusing with chain saws and big machines. Perfect.

I don't watch it much, but that scene with the fingernail made me want to puke. Thinking about it makes me want to puke.

One of my cousins is a Game Warden who was inspecting these boatds during the first season of filming. They had to turn the cameras off for the Wardens and Coast Guard so we never saw that. His wife was the one who officially called the season open and closed in Dutch Harbor. He says Sig really is a dick.

Interesting side note, he was a cop in Dutch for awhile and quit. He quit since he couldn't mess with the locals and their only source of revenue was ticketing and arresting the fishermen after they come off the boats for crap like drinking in public.
