Video of cousin flying F-22:

Just got off the phone with my brother, he was in Virginia over the weekend for our cousin's graduation from Virginia Tech vet school w/ our parents. (Mom and stepdad). Our stepdad helped raise us since children, so his family are all considered cousins even if technically not related. They are an amazing family, really nice people.

My SD's younger brother died tragically @ age 35 in 1974 of stomach cancer w/ 3 small children and wife pregnant w/ #4. To this day, it was the saddest episode I've ever been close to in my life. He was a successful dentist and gentleman farmer w/ a beautiful family and the world by the tail, he had his whole life ahead of him.

His widow for her own reasons has not stayed very close to the surviving members of his family, but we occasionally got updates on the kids. I knew that the boys went to prestigious military schools and were officers and pilots, but short on specifics. Anywhoo..., one of the sons showed up for the graduation in VA. and they had a very nice reunion w/ him, he lives in VA. and flies the freaking F-22 in air shows for the AF!!

Like most officers, (including those on PPOT), he is an amazing guy, really nice and humble in spite of his incredible job. He was very happy to re-connect w/ my stepdad, (his uncle), and my Mom + my brother. We missed out on those kids growing up, so it's very cool. He invited my folks to join him @ Oshkosh, (they live in our cabin in WI. in summer), said that he is pretty hooked-up at the airshows so accomidations are no problemo.

I did a quick google and came up w/ this video of him flying the jet at an airshow. Apparently this is pretty much all he does these days, go from air show to air show. I need to find out when one is coming to CA. and go see him. I last saw him as a toddler, so it's a fresh meeting. His younger brother is an Army helo pilot and dispatcher in Iraq.

Very cool. Maybe I saw him last year at the Andrews AFB open house. I did watch the F-22 demo.

Will do, Tim. It would be great to see any other board members there as well. I want a ride in your plane if I go!
