Prayers for Ted Kennedy

Please, all politics aside. I would not wish cancer on anyone. CANCER SUCKS!

My prayers go out to Ted and his family.

KaptKaos 05-20-2008 10:51 AM

Prayers sent.

DaveE 05-20-2008 10:55 AM

My thoughts with him/his family also.

andytheturtle 05-20-2008 11:07 AM

I am praying, thats for sure.

JeremyD 05-20-2008 11:15 AM

No kidding karma is a b!tch - after having an Aunt die of brain cancer - I wouldn't wish it on anybody -

I was starting to be a little concerned about our PPOT group thanks for restoring just a little bit of faith Scooter.

Dottore 05-20-2008 11:33 AM

Not a religious man, but I wish him well. Dreadful disease.

KFC911 05-20-2008 12:31 PM

I disdain Kennedy's political positions and wish him the best of health also.

onlycafe 05-20-2008 12:31 PM

not usually one to quote rush limbaugh, but.......ditto.
i hope he gets better soon.

KFC911 05-20-2008 12:34 PM

I don't have a problem quoting Rush..."Where's my Oxy? :)"

Dan in Pasadena 05-20-2008 12:42 PM

Godspeed to Ted, wherever it may lead him.

Les Paul 05-20-2008 02:14 PM

I'll vote for MJK. What goes around.

m21sniper 05-20-2008 02:16 PM

My prayers go out to God, if he exists.

Please let Ted "err, ummm" Kennedy die a quick and painless death.

As soon as possible.

REAL classy snipe.

m21sniper 05-20-2008 02:53 PM

It's a lot more classy than leaving a young woman to drown to death in your car.

Isn't it?

He is a lying, alcoholic, murdering scumbag, he belongs in prison. But i'll settle for dead.

on2wheels52 05-20-2008 03:22 PM

I woud like to think the US senate would be a better place w/o him. I still feel sorry on the family level.

Comments withdrawn.

I took a few cheap shots I think at Sniper and I violated my own rules about not letting myself get all p!ssed off. And especially not taking shots at PEOPLE, instead take shots at their comments. For those that read them already, I withdraw my comments.

Sniper, I don't agree with you on a LOT of things. But I agree you have the right to think them, say them, post them even if I don't like it. I'm outta this thread.

johndglynn 05-20-2008 03:52 PM

Dan, I hear you on the 'make love not war' front, but if the legend of TK is any way true then maybe it's a case of karma here we come. Humanity for the dead as well as the dying mate - just 'cos you're about to kick the bucket doesn't somehow magically absolve you of all the numbers you pulled.

I have three daughters, and if one of mine had been in his car that night then it'd be PARTY TIME.

Dan in Pasadena 05-20-2008 04:00 PM

John, I'm not defending Teddy or any of the things associated with Chappaquiddick. It was and is a tragedy that that young lady died.

I like and even agree on the concept of "karma" in whatever wording is used. What goes around comes around? It may well be true. He's not absolved of that girl's death. Is it true he dove in and tried to save her...well, I hope for his sake its true, he still must regularly revisit those moments even all these decades later. All I know is I would. I doubt you or I could beat him up as much as he has beat himself over the unfolding of those events. I'm just saying the man is dying and if there is a judgement coming for us, he's going to his now. And I doubt its gonna be a good outcome for him.

johndglynn 05-20-2008 04:29 PM

Yes, I wish the man a peaceful death Dan, as I believe 'do unto others as you would have done unto you' but, rightly or wrongly, I have more sympathy for Mary Jo.

I don't think TK is headed for his judgement; I might say a prayer every now and then, but the day of reckoning is not my faith. I think he is in his judgement, the people he served are now evaluating his contribution and legacy, as is their entitlement. Closing a thread isn't going to stop that happening and quite right too.

Scooter 05-20-2008 07:04 PM

I started this thread with the best intentions, but knew deep down that a few of you people would live up to you predictable behavior.

Congratulations to one of you. The one who just made my ignore list.
