I thought this thread was going to be about you rebaging your 944 as a 240Z! :D

My Datsun days were long ago, but a '78 Datsun truck should use an L20B. I had an L20B in my second 510, and somehow secured an SU manifold that was port matched to the L20B head and used the bigger 1-3/4 SU's, which I also had. Never mounted it though, and I'm pretty sure the setup is no longer under the boat in my Pop's garage. :(

I'll take a look, though, since I'll be visiting said garage this weekend.

Jay, is Marty getting her ready for the Dragon meet in November? I would love to see it in action.

Then I will not be the only ricer there. :D

It probably isn't the engine I'm thinking of, but the early Datsun pick-up four cylinder pushrod, not overhead cam, engine was a re-engineered BMC "B" series engine (MGB etc) and I was led to believe that the twin-SU intake manifold was a stright bolt on.

I think we need to see some pics of it when it out of the shop.

I'll stop my buddy's shop tomorrow and see if he has anything you need, you would be amazed what he has laying around.
