Do you talk back to movies?

I'm a bit of a movie guy. I like a lot of different types, dark humor makes me bust a gut while my wife just shakes her head. There are some movies I just hafta watch at the theater for the full experience, you know action, sci-fi. Love Drama but, I don't need to see "Sophies Choice" large.

I really hate it when I go to the theater and people are talkin back to the screen. Do you think that when they are in the privacy of their own home they are yelling right back at the TV just like if they were at the theater?

I'll sometimes commment to myself or utter expletives if a movie has me strung a little tight. Just guess I've never had the urge to actually have a conversation with a movie though.

Well, I guess I do too but, it usually goes like this "WTF are ya doin that for" like in a slasher flick. Some people actually talk like a real convo, asking questions and what not.

I don't in theaters though.

So I wonder if the people who do that in theaters don't at home???

Sounds like you need to be more tolerant of movie talkers. If you don't like it, then stay home.

Actually, sounds like you see some pretty good movies if they engage the viewers that much.

Actually, I go, watch the movie and then afterward I complain to the manager and try and get my money back.

I don't go to theatres, people annoy me. And no, I don't talk to movies, that's rude to others if there is someone else watching.

Sometimes it is a result of the location I'm at. I do a lot of work at different sites around the world. Going to a movie is an easy way to relax that one day off after 6/10s or worse.

One of my best memories was a sight in Gujarat, India. I was staying at this self sustaining industrial community that was built
by the company. Way out in the middle of no-where and that was how they made it tolerable for their workforce. Full indoor athletic facility (solid ass kickers in ping-pong)

, outdoor track, huge outdoor stadium. I liver there for almost three months. Saw a lot of fun movies even though I didn't understand a lick of the dialogue.

I once asked one of the local engineers I was working along side with why most of the Indian movies were musicals with tons of dancing. He told me quite honestly that the average Indian's life is so dreadful that they craved anything that would lighten their spirits. He also told me the last director that tried to produce a drama in India with no singing and dancing was actually receiving death threats so he cancelled the production.

I'm the most vocal when I'm watching by myself. I know I'll get my head slapped if I do that while watching with my wife

Oh yea by myself I will do anything I want. It's like driving, I will yell very loudly at everyone. But when someone else is in the car, I keep my mouth shut, less they wanna get out at the next stop light

In just about every single movie I find myself asking the shooter why he waited until gunplay commenced before racking his slide back or why he racked his slide back after firing a few rounds. The other day I saw one where someone with a Glock made the noise of cocking a hammer back. And I always tell them to wear ear protection when firing rifles indoors or ask them how they can stand to do that with no ear protection. I swear, cartoon characters talking are more realistic than the way they show guns in the movies.

The best part is when the editor will cut a scene where the tough guy racks his 12 ga pump before walking thru a doorway in a tense "looking for the bad guy" scene. Twenty seconds later having fired no shots, he sees the bad guy and then what does he do??? Racks it again just before firing.
