Does my corporation have any resale value?
My business partner and I did an assett sale in Dec. of 1998. The (S) corporation has been kept a live to receive payments from the buyer. At the end of 2008 we'll be done with that. I've seen ads where companies are selling "aged" corporations. Does a 14 year old Georgia S corp have any value?

How's your credit rating?
|
Why would it? Do you have any assets, business clients, accounts receivable? I think someone would just be buying the name and that's about it. The credit rating might be worth something as red said. Sell it for $1000, with a million line of credit, they plunder the line of credit and book to the Dominican Republic.

Unless it has an NOL carryforward, no.
Most shell companies posted for sale are typically a) small cap public to be acquired through a reverse merger to enable the larger, profitable company to be immediately traded and hence have a market for its shares (liquidity) or b) have a large NOL; or c) both. |
