Trying to get daughter on cover of Parent Magazine...
Well, I have always been against the "dolling up" of children for beauty pageants and the sort, but this is actually kinda cool. There is a contest being sponsored by Parent Magazine for an "everyday pose" photo contest. The child that wins will get go to NYC to have their picture taken for the cover of an upcoming issue.
A couple of weeks ago, the wife and I picked some pictures to submit. Since then my wife has been bugging me to post this here to have fellow pelicans visit the page. It only requires a couple of clicks once there, the photo needs to be "rated" then "recommended". If you have a few seconds your recommendations are appreciated! http://www.parents.com/app/sharemy/photoDetails.jsp?photoId=183400910 Thanks all! -Nick

Great pics - she's adorable! My favourite is the one with her head down on the book - her eyes in particular look really cute. We have a 2 year old, and these types are my favourites (of the thousands of photos we have...!).
Good luck!

She looks absolutely lovely!
Here is my daughter Hannah on the cover of my own book for parents on common child diseases. Took four hours to get her to sit exactly right holding the teddy bear and the stethoscope!

Hey Markus, is your book available in English or just Swedish?

Thanks guys!
There is always that "parental pride" that comes with having a child, but there have been so many people that have said we should try to get her in print. A friend of mine just got to meet her this past weekend, he has been doing various professional modeling/acting for over a decade now and really convinced us to look into it. I am leaning towards the side of caution on the topic! I don't want it to ever become too serious. If my daughter isn't having fun, it's over. That's why I liked the idea of this contest. She doesn't have to sit for hours under lights being pushed or pulled for a good shot. They are just a few pics of the thousands that we have taken of her along the way If, when she gets older she wants to do more model work, it's a cool chip to hold. If nothing comes of it, no harm done!P.S. livi, great cover shot!
