Values and the Empty Suit

All I hear from Obama after he temporarily left his church is, We -Democrats- have to unite to "beat the Republicans", nothing about what they will do better or different, but we have to beat the Republicans. That seems to be all there is to it.

That's all you hear 'cause that's all there is!

I'm no fan of Obama, but an "empty suit" is better than an emporor with no clothes imo :)

Do you mean John McCain?

Obama=no substance. Voting record? Experience? Nothing there.
Makes nice speeches when he is reading.

Until Zbignev Brezinski pulls his hand out of BHO's ass, then he falls silent!

I actually liked McCain back in 2000, but I'm afraid he's not up to the task at his age and would just be a figurehead for "more of the same" Republican machine that I've come to loathe. At least Obama can make a speech (and read), and I know he won't pack his cabinet with long time Texas buddies so he's better prepared than GWB ever was :).

Yeah, it'll be retreaded Yimma Carter cabinet members. Hot Damn!

I am guessing McCain understands and he has said he needs a younger person as VP, shouldn't be that hard.

I don't know if it was BS or not (I can guess, since it was a politician speaking :)), but I thought I heard Obama state that he would have members of both parties in his cabinet if elected...that's a CHANGE I would welcome. I'm simply tired of both extremes (each equally bad imo) playing their "cards" while the vast majority of us go unrepresented. I don't particularly like any of the candidates, but sure don't want the Republicans to think they've received another "mandate" while spending "borrowed" (from China) political capital for another 4/8 years...

I don't see any "mandate" the house and senate are now and will be controlled by the Democrats. They have done a stunning job so far.
I thought GW reached across for help quite a bit the first four years, only to get slapped down. Kennedy with the school program.

I guess you forgot about all the Clinton holdovers Bush kept on. Let's see, there was George Tenet at CIA, Norm Mineta at DOT, Richard Clarke and tons more you've never heard of, mostly at the UN and State.

BTW, how many or which current Bush appointees or GOP members of Congress can you see Obama keeping or appointing and which do you think would accept? My guess is zero.
