really nice. also impressed at the randomness of the darker tiles. seems like that's gotta be an art.

Very nice work. Even though laying tile kills my knees I love the satisfaction I get after the job is completed.

Job well done, trekkor, travertine is amazing rock.

I had a good friend install travertine in a old house and the lippage was bad, you could almost stub your toe. I called another good friend up who has a cleaning co. that builds industrial cleaning machines. He came over and with diamond cutters smoothed that floor to perfection, now you can skate across it.

Nice job Trek. Is it ceramic or porcelain?

Niether. It's quarried stone from Mexico.

Every piece is different.

From those shots the tile looks 12x12. I would have.gone for a larger 18 or 20" tile - perhaps laid on a diagonal...but that can get busy looking too. Nice work though. Heavy sealer and some rugs to soften it. Todd is right the furniture is butt ugly. Time for another sake on the rocks...

Well, the typical entry door is 36 " wide. If you look at the various doors in the pics, I'd scale it at 16 x 16.
