Right Shift Key problem
I have the strangest thing going on with my keyboard. The right shift key is working more like a control key. How did this happen? I don't exactly know when it happened, but I've checked the accessibility options and the sticky keys are not turned on or anything like that. Very strange, when doing a search on Google, I found others with similar problems but no clear solutions. I am speculating my cordless Logitech mouse is causing the problem. The keyboard is a standard Dell though.
Anyone ever have this strange thing happen? ***sorry should have been posted in OT*** |
I'll try this again, any ideas? I hate my computer.

My computer sometimes does the same thing. It'll act like the shift key is stuck, or certain keys are stuck. I'll KVM over to my other computer, and it works fine, though. So, at least in my case, I know it's not in the computer. Sometimes I have to reboot to fix it. Sometimes just reconnecting the wireless keyboard fixes it.

Do you have a spare keyboard or a corded mouse to experiment with?
I tried the wireless thing and went back to hard wire, too many bugs for me. |
Num Lock on?

Does your keyboard require special drivers such as the wireless Logitech? If so they might be no loading or corrupted and you can reload them from CD-ROM. You can also search at the Dell web site to see if they have any new BIOS upgrades availble.
