Seattle guys, know anyone who works for Costco?

Corporate that is. I am looking at an IT job they have posted and wondering if anyone works or knows anyone there.

The jobs in Issaquah, what will the cost of living be like out there? Or is it even 'out there' any more?

Any input would be great.

I took a seminar (at Construx in Bellevue) and one of my classmates was a software developer who had worked there for about 10 years and was still loving it. He couldn't say enough good things about the place.

I do not know anyone that works there, although my kid goes to school with a bunch of Costco, Starbucks, Microsoft & Boeing kids.

Issaquah is a nice place to raise a family. 30 mins West to DT Seattle w/o traffic about 60 min in traffic. Lots of parks and green space, 2 big lakes spitting distance away with many small ones in between. Ski resort about 60 mins West. 600k gets a decent family home. Mostly professional families.

Thanks for the info. Housing prices are really concerning to me. I'd be giving up a house thats just less than 3000 square feet (including the basement) and 2.5 acres that will probably sell for 250. That would be quite a change for me...

Get on LinkedIn.

Search for Costco Seattle

Get an introduction to someone and ask who the hiring manager for the gig is.

FedEx your resume directly to that person.

Quick search got me one guy in Webdesign and an Application Engineer in the IT group.

Good thoughts, but I'm already talking to the HR recruiter and I'm not sure I want to 'back door' her at this point.

250k might get you a 1500 sqft townhouse in this neck of the woods.
