Black Beauty's Next Owner: Max
I've been off the race track for several months, and a little less present on the 911 Tech and Racing boards -- and I've gotten enough PMs so that I'm going to put up a thread to announce the reason. My wife delivered our first child 12 days ago. He was 8 weeks early and a factory lightweight at just over 4 pounds. But he hasn't had any preemie-related health issues yet and the prognosis is great. Initially, he was on an IV, an oxygen line and a feeding tube. Now he's down to just the feeding tube, which shouldn't be around for too much longer. He's gaining weight at a good clip and should be able to leave the hospital within the next couple of weeks.
Here's a sort of 'Jack Olsen Self-Portrait,' but with the new Olsen addition, Max: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1213334025.jpg And here's a set of pictures of the little guy from this morning: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1213334066.jpg |
Jack, your priorities just changed- For the better!
Congratulations, hope all goes well with the little guy! |
As a new dad myself, I can attest to the priority change. But it's all good.
Congratulations. |
Congratulations and best wishes for good health to all of your family.

Congratulations !
Your life is never going to be the same. Being a parent is the most exciting rewarding thing you will ever do. Enjoy, it goes fast. |
Congrats on the great looking kid! I hope he gets off the feeding tube soon. My son is still on it at 9 months.

Wow, congratulations!!! :D Beautiful baby!!!

Excellent! Congratulations!
My little monkey is certainly the best thing that ever happened to me. In my personal experience as a male, it took me a while to really warm-up to and appreciate my Daughter. Of course I loved her and totally appreciated the miraculous event of birth, but the Mom has been physically attached to the little human for many months, not so for the Dad. My Daughter will soon be 10 and our bond has grown tremendously. You may think the first weeks and months and even years are the "best", and they are for the moment, but it gets better and better as time goes on, IMO. Best wishes to you and your new family! |
good job , not that you did the hard part though.
congratulations. |
Awesome.
So easy to love from day 1! Sure Max will enjoy the new garage floor very soon... (preemie care is pretty incredible these days, I am sure he will be full size really quick) |
Congratulations!

Great news..
Being a Dad is a great things... In no time he'll be asking.. can I come for a drive... please Dad, please? |
Congrats Jack! It's amasing to think that the little guy will be 6'0" before you know it. I think you'll wear fatherhood well.
I'm following right behind w/ Kristy due in Dec. I really need to get this track car done before the end of summer so that I can get started on the baby room. :o http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1213344081.jpg |
Well done. Congratulations! There is really nothing that prepares you to having a child. I am still on a high after 5 years!
|
Congratulations!

Congratulations Jack, teach him well... life, love, and P-cars!!!

Gruppe NICU is fairly large you'll find. Sounds like things are going very well though!
You'll just continue to be amazed at how much love was left in your heart to give. |
Congrats! Great looking kid.
The title made me think you were selling BBII. I got mad! |
