Oh boy!!!!!

Juneteenth is usually good for a couplea shootings or gang brawls here in Denver.

I think it takes second-place sandwich for me, right between Columbus Day and Cinco de Mayo.

Yeah a guy I work with who is racist got married on this date a year ago not knowing that it was Juneteenth. Irony I guess.

Just went to Buffalo NY's Juneteenth festival. My GF pointed out that she and I were the only white people there, of thousands, with the exception of a mixed couple, a stand of Scientologists, and the police who were way to eager to draw their nightsticks. I thought it was a great festival, great funk music for me, and great African jewelery for my GF. I was disappointed that more of white Buffalo folk werent there. I thought that we were past this...

I always get nervous when there are no black people around.. Denver is that kind oddly segregated city.

Growing up in New York I never heard of such a holiday. With strong ties between Colorado and Texas, apparently they have been celebrating it for years..
The year I lived in Denver, I went and had a good time. Good food as I remember.

I just want my daughter to get her reparations.

Just remember that they are hers, Kurt! :p

She is a minor. I will hold the money in trust for her. Only taking out for her food and board. :D
