I am pretty sure the "darkness" (percentage of light the tint transmits) plays a substantial part in the heat (I/R) rejection, reflectance, etc..
I never said anything about U/V protection, but it's kind of a moot point as most quality tint films out there already block 99% of U/V at any shade already (including nearly transparent). Plus U/V contributes very little to the heat factor.
So, I will reiterate my statement:
The Huper Optik premium stuff will reject significantly more heat than most tint films out there at a given % of light transmittance ("darkness"). It will just cost you 2-3x more.
